Field Control Operations
The ProReport designer can perform operations on a selected field, across all report bands that reference that field. These field operations are only available when you have created your ProReport using the Present to ProReport feature.

The field operations within this document will only work if the ProReport was created using the Present to ProReport feature.
Field List menu
The ProReport designer's Field List context menu has three field-based operations: Select Field Control, Remove Field Controls and Insert Field Controls.
Insert Field Controls
If a field was deleted or not included for presentation, you can add the field to the report by simply right-clicking the field that you want to insert and choose Insert Field Controls. This will insert the field across all report bands before the field you have selected in one of the bands. If no field is selected in a report band, the new field will be inserted in the first column position.
Note
This command will replace any missing field in the report bands where it does not exist. If the field is already in the band, nothing will be added.
Select Field Controls
For operations such as resizing or setting common properties, the Select Field Controls option will select the field across all of the report bands. The image below shows a field control resize operation after using the Select Field Controls menu option.
Remove Field Controls
Choosing the Remove Field Controls operation will remove the selected field across all report bands. This does not remove the field from the datasource, it just removes its references in the report bands. You can easily add the field back by choosing the Insert Field Controls menu option.
Band menu
Field operations are also available in the context menu within the report bands: Select Field Controls, Move Field Controls and Delete->Field Controls. The Select Whole Table menu is available as well for acting upon all of the controls in either Columnar or Vertical report bands. Simply right-click on the field and select the appropriate menu option.

Select Field Controls (band menu)
This works the same way as the Select Field Controls menu option in the Field List menu, but can also be used for more than one field. This is a convenient action for moving, deleting or simply setting common properties such as styles.
Move Field Controls
This menu option allows you to move selected field controls within the band: Left, Right, First Position or Last Position. As with all of the other menu options, this will move the selected field controls in all of the report bands.
Delete Field Controls
This menu option works the same way as the Remove Field Controls menu option in the Field List menu.
Select Whole Table
The field operations are handy when performing actions on a single column, but there are also times when you may need to adjust the entire table.
The main reason to use this option would be to resize the table within a band. For instance, if you deleted a field but wanted the table to fill the band horizontally, you would right-click a field in the band and choose Select Whole Table. Once selected the table can be resized easily.
Calculated Fields
The same operations that are available for report fields from the Field List and Band menus are also available for calculated fields.
Note
When these fields are added using the Field List, the Display Name property is used as the title.
For the calculated field's summaries, numerics will use the Sum function and non-numerics will use the Max function.
